A Week of FUN with the Chapmans
Oh Boy, we had such a fun week with our friends, The Chapmans. Eric and Michelle have 3 kids. Grace is 3 and they have two year old twin girls, Claire and Kate. Chris and Eric were veterinarians together in Pagosa Springs. They both attended a veterinary conference together in San Diego. While the boys were at the conference the girls got to play. Thank you SOOO much Grandma Liz for all the passes to San Diego attractions. The first day they were here we went to the Pumpkin Patch and had lunch at Los Caballos veterinary hospital with Chris. We all headed down to San Diego together on Wednesday night and stopped at Las Olas for some fabulous Mexican food. After dinner the Chapmans were way very excited to see the ocean. We finally left the beach around 8:00 with an entire family that was sopping wet! It was fun:) Chris and Eric headed to the conference on Thursday and all the girls headed to Sea World where we met Grandma Liz. The kids all had so much fun. Abby was so funny. She was so excited to have friends with her and loved watching the fish in the aquariums. We had passes to Sea world that were still good on Friday so we headed back to see some things we had missed. We also got to see Aunt Mimi and Uncle Clay on Friday. It was fun to watch Abby play with her Aunt and Uncle. Saturday we headed to the beach. The kids played in the water and built sand castles. On Sunday we all went to the Zoo together. What a cool zoo we have in San Diego. On Monday we headed back to the beach for more fun. Tuesday was a sad day here, especially for Abby because her friends had to go home. There were lots of other fun adventures with our friends. I am so glad they got to come and visit. San Diego is a pretty amazing city!
Abby learned so much from her friends. Today I asked Abby if she would like a snack and she nodded her head back at me. Grace, Kate and Claire are all such good kids with incredible parents. We hope to get to see them again VERY SOON! Oh yeah- after a week packed with fun Abby did a lot of sleeping today!

Fly Fishing on the Kern River
PooBah (that's grandpa Chiment) took us flyfishing on the Kern River in Kernville. We had such a great time! Saturday we fished along the river just outside of town. On Sunday we went on a hike and fished above the johnsondale bridge. Abby played on the sandy riverbanks while Poobah and Chris fished the river. They caught lots of fish and Abby got to touch one of them. Thanks PooBah we had a great time!

A Morning at the Pumpkin Patch
We had so much fun today at Peltzer Farm's! As you can tell by the pictures Abby really enjoyed her first trip to the pumpkin patch. She picked out one little pumpkin for herself and Dad picked out a big one to carve. We hope you enjoy the pictures! Abby is thinking she is going to be a horse for her first Halloween. Great Grandma French got her a costume when she was only a couple of months old because she saw it in the store and thought Abby had to have it! We will be sure to post pictures of her in her costume when the time comes. Happy Fall!
Riverman Jake
Jake made the long trip from Colorado back to California in August. Chris and Uncle Jerry were so kind to drive out out there to pick him and Chips up. Jake is loving his new pasture at Los Caballos Veterinary Hospital. It's not quite the same as Colorado pasture, but it's about as green as it gets for Southern California! The staff there is taking really good care of him! I have been getting out there a couple of times a week to brush him. Sadly, he will not be able to be ridden anymore but he's still a great horse! I've really enjoyed having my horse live close by again. Abby even got to sit on his back this past weekend...I'll get pictures next time.

A weekend in Big Bear
Wow! What a fun weekend we had with the Ward Family. We headed up to Big Bear on Friday night and got to stay until Monday. The house we stayed in was wonderful! Thank you to the Ortiz Family for letting us use it:) Saturday we walked around town, played pool, went in the spa and had a fire. Abby had so much fun playing with Kylie, Allyson and Brynnah! It was the first really cold day up there and we woke up Sunday morning to frost. Sunday was beautiful. We had a lazy morning and then headed out for some fishing on the lake. It wasn't quite the same as fishing in Pagosa Springs but Chris still had fun. Then we headed to the zoo. They have a really neat zoo in Big Bear! Monday we packed up and headed home. What a fun weekend we had with great friends.
