Wild Wild West

This was a crazy western weekend!

It started Friday with a pony play date with our friends from Stroller Strides.  The kids all had fun with flame.  We hooked him up and took turns going for a ride.

 

We took a trail ride to Vail Lake with some friends.  The photo above is of  Pat Ommert and Chris.  Pat owns the property where we live. Her late husband, Dr. Will Ommert ran his veterinary practice out of the hospital that Chris now has. The woman is amazing.  She is in her 80’s and still goes riding almost everyday.  The 3 hour trail ride was no big deal for her.  She also gave us her beautiful gray horse, Smokey, who you see above.  A very kind gesture from an incredible horsewoman.  Chris and I can now go on rides together on Smokey and Maverick:)  This trail is right by where we live.  We can’t wait to do it again! YEEEEHAW

 

  A local trail group, Rancho California Horseman, dedicated the Valley to Vail Trail in Mrs. Ommert’s name.  Remember how I said she was an incredible horsewoman….check her out….

And then we had the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) on Friday and Saturday night.  I am so proud of Chris and the veterinary practice he has built. He is working on many of the bucking bulls in the area and was asked to be the vet for this event…pretty cool:)  Rafael, the most AMAZING assistant came along on Friday night. We got to see a few of the bulls that they work on buck on Friday.  What a show! 

Sunday was Teagan’s Birthday Party.  It was a cowgirl party for sure:)  Yes….that’s a baby zebra they are feeding!

Having just went to the PBR Abby had a BLAST on the mechanical bull.  Ride um cowgirl…..

Jocelyn had fun playing with the rope.   Teagan LOVES Baby Jocelyn!   

Don’t worry….even after all the cowgirl events of the weekend Abby transformed into Princess Cowgirl “Tinkerbelle”

Look what I can do!

Look at where I found Jocelyn today.  Our  little monkey is on the move  and has figured out how to stand up and get in the toy box.  I couldn’t be more proud:)

Guess what she pulled out?  Yep, her favorite, the bead necklace:)

Milestones mean the world to this mama:)

Alright Uncle Clay…..you are pretty flexible but you got nuttin’ on me:)  Miss you!

Ridiculously Cute

 

Can you handle the cuteness?  Are those towels not the cutest thing you have ever seen (and the girls that they are wrapped around are pretty stinkin’ cute too)!

My friend Natalie made these towels for my girls:) She is starting a “little” business, she’s calling is Cojees. “Cojees are hand-made, heart-made baby clothes and mommy accessories, for a greater purpose.” That greater purpose has something to do with a little girl who I love dearly and a little boy who she adores:) 

Thank you Natalie for making bath time even cuter and cozier at our house.  The girls LOVE their new towels.

It was a simple weekend.

A simple weekend but oh so wonderful to spend some time together as a family:)

PS- the 80 degree weather in January made it even more wonderful.

Down Syndrome Playgroup

 

I love the second Tuesday of each month:)  It’s so fun to get together for a fun night with some friends! 

Jocelyn crawled through this long tunnel all on her own.

All the “big kids” (all of our babies have that magic little chromosome) love to play too.  They got pulled around on this card and then had a parade!

 

Hannah is so cute!  She is two and quite the mover.

Cowgirl

This little cowgirl is something else….

Abby is 3 and letting us know that she wants to be more independent in so many ways.   I love that she has the sweetest pony in the world that lets her do so many things, “ALL BY MYSELF!”

She loves brushing Flame:)

We take him on walks and Abby walks Flame while I push Jocelyn in the stroller.

 

Daddy got the little cowgirl a rope today:)  She loved roping her pink Rody pony.

 

What an amazing place with so much cowgirl opportunity to raise a very independent 3 year old:)
