Making us proud

Tonight was a crazy night!  We had out monthly down syndrome group and also Abby’s Christmas play at preschool. I am so proud of my little girls:)

Santa made a visit to our down syndrome group.  I love this group…I love the moms, the dads, the kiddos, all of it:) 

And then we were on our way to Abby’s Christmas play.  She sang Twinkle Twinkle Christmas Star, Happy Birthday to Jesus and This little light of mine.  She was too cute. 

When we came home she sang this little light of mine especially for Aunt Mimi…..

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas….

We’ve been busy with Christmassy stuff lately.  Abby is a 100% believer this year and spends much of the day talking about Santa, what he is doing, and trying to figure out how he will get down the chimney…she is convinced he is going to need her help.  We saw Santa this weekend.  Abby told him she wanted an iphone….yup she sure did!!!

 

Temecula has a wonderful, small town Christmas parade.  For a couple of hours I forgot I lived in Southern California and could have been convinced I was in a small Colorado town.

Daddy and the girls got the train out.  So much fun!  Jocelyn LOVES watching the train go around.  Abby turned one of the cars into a princess car:) This was Daddy’s train when he was a little boy and now his girls get to enjoy it!

 

LOVE this fireplace and love that there are the stockings of our two perfect little girls hung waiting for Santa to come.  They have been good:)

  

We built a gingerbread house….from scratch…made the gingerbread and all! 

Such a gift to have two little girls to celebrate the holidays with:)  Last year at this time I had no idea how happy my newest little bundle would make me! 

Nothing to do with the holidays or parties we will be attending….  Jocelyn has a couple of new party trick she would like to share.  Look at what she can do now?  She can pull herself up to stand at her piano…she makes me so happy I cry:)

This is a good one…she tries so hard to crawl over this little chair that she gets tipsy and winds up like this….a good party trick don’t you think? (no children were harmed in the taking of this picture)

Happy Birthday Uncle Clay:) Just so you know abby has wrapped you a present. I am just going to tell you about it because you live so far away and shipping would cost too much.....sorry.

She chose the easter bag to wrap all of your goodies in. For your birthday this year Abby got you........about 10 ziplocks filled with different playdough creations, the take home toothbrush and toothpaste from the dentist, a small rolling pin, a princess bracelet (you must be pretty special for her to give this to you), a pink curly hair bow and last but not least a princess shawl.

We hope you have a fun birthday. We miss you:)

I am very thankful…

Thanksgiving is a reminder each year to remind us to slow down, reflect and think of what we are thankful for.  Our family has so much to be thankful for this year:) 

And a whole lot of the thankfulness has to do with a little girl named Jocelyn………

 

And a Big Sister who turned 3 named Abigail….

 

And a Daddy who adores his little girls…..

 

We celebrated thanksgiving this year at Papa’s river house.  So nice to have a few days “off” and spend time with the family:)  Thanks Papa for a good time!

A Cowgirl turned Princess

I can’t believe it, my little Abby is going to be 3.  We celebrated with a cowgirl party this past weekend.  It was a great day filled with family, friends, food and games but mostly a whole bunch of kids having a great time:)

 

It was pouring rain so flame came to visit under the patio.  He is seriously the best pony I have ever known!  Abby’s friends loved brushing him and giving him carrots.

And as the presents were being opened I knew what was going to happen.  A princess transformation……

 

And this princess has graced us with her presence each day:) And I do love this little princess. 

Oh and her sister had a great time at the party too:)  Check out the new hair do and shoes! She is mastering her wave too.   

A good laugh...

Jocelyn continues to do amazingly well. She keeps us smiling and is a frequent reminder of what's really important in life:)

Ok…so I may bore some of you with all these pictures but I tried my very best to pick a few to share.  We took A LOT of pictures, 496 to be exact, while at Disneyland.  There is no need to put captions on these pictures.  Our faces say it all:)

Yesterday Abby came out of her room with her backpack rolling behind her.  I questioned what she was doing and she replied, “I have all my things packed up to go to Disneyland next year!” 

I guess we’ll have to go back!
