(the cutest picture that daddy took )
Thursday morning came and I was anxious about how I would keep Abby occupied during Jocelyn’s Speech therapy. Chris offered up taking her to work. “Really? Is she old enough for that?”, I thought. I dreamed about this day when she was first born. Going out on farm calls with her Daddy. How fun for a little girl…….
The morning started with “office work”. Abby does office work with daddy in the afternoons sometimes. It involves getting out the stapler, return address stamp, tape, pen, envelopes and paper. She “writes” letters.
Then off to take care of “Zack”, the week old calf. I’m not too sure what’s wrong with him. Abby told me he has diarrhea. Next they headed up to to La Cresta to take care of a little pony, named Peanut Butter and a race horse named Slinky Mallinky. She really likes talking about these horses, because their names are so much fun:) I asked her what was wrong and she said they needed some shots….there was more to the story but that’s what she saw:) On the way home there was a doughnut shop where she picked up a sprinkle doughnut. Final stop was to see a sweet old dog that daddy has been doing acupuncture on. All Abby could tell me was that she got root beer there.
Bummer….Mommy was home and daddy had to get back to work so their day together ended:(
Abby has a wonderful daddy. I know this is just the first of many times they will spend together going out on calls. Tonight she wanted to retell the whole story of the day, making sure daddy didn’t leave out any important details!
I wonder if she will be the doctor at Temeku Equine one day?
