River Weekend at Papa's House

We had a super dooper fun weekend at the Colorado River. Papa just got a river house and invited us to come. We did so many fun things but most importantly got to spend some QT together. Thank you Papa and everyone else who was there for making the weekend WONDERFUL:) Here is some of what we did....

Happy Birthday Nonna

Fun Times

Look what the sisters got to do....Abby was SO excited to take a bath with Jocelyn.

Look closely at the top of the hill and you can barely see Chris and Rachel on a trail ride. I even got to go out on a ride. It's going to be so fun to explore the trails around here! This picture was taken from our front yard.

Chris, Abby and I went to a Professional Bull Riders (PBR) event this weekend. Chris has been working on a few of the bulls. We were rooting for the bulls when most people were rooting for the cowboys! Jocelyn was a little under the weather so she stayed home with Grandma Liz.

Jocelyn LOVES her swing. It is turning in to her favorite place to take a nap. This week she started smiling even more. Now she will just spontaneously smile. She can bring her hands together and loves watching her hands out in front of her face. While she is watching her hands to likes to "talk" and yell at them. We recently have met a couple very sweet families who have little ones with Down Syndrome. It is so comforting to talk with moms who know exactly what I am going through. I am sure you'll see pictures of their little ones soon. They are such cute and loving little kids!!!

What a fun surprise to have the Welch Family along with Aunt Kathy and Kim up to our house this week. Abby adores her cousins and plays so well with them.

Big Girl

Guess who wears big girl underwear now? Big girl Abby! So nice to have just one in diapers:)

My little girl is growing up. She learned how to ride her tricycle this week. Finally here little legs are long enough to reach the pedals. She is still working on the steering part:)

We had quite a celebration this past weekend. Temeku Equine invited their clients to a client appreciation BBQ to celebrate the first year of the practice. We had about 200 people stop by for some good food! Chris and Rafael have wonderful clients. People were so excited to meet Abby and Jocelyn:) We are so fortunate to have so many wonderful people in our lives! Thank you to everyone who helped make the day a good one.

Mothers

My sweet Jocelyn Rose. I must say Jocelyn is a mama's girl...and I LOVE IT:) She loves looking into her mama's eyes!

Abby LOVES the goats that are at the hospital. We check on them a few times each day. Taking the mama, Angel on walks in the pasture was a big hit. Angel is a good mother and she got a little mother's day gift too (some time eating some nice pasture grass)!

Ahhh...please take me back to San Clemente. Chris, Jocelyn, and I headed to San Clemente for a very nice engagement party for Travis and Summer, at a BEAUTIFUL home with a SPECTACULAR view:) Look carefully and you can see Jocelyn was enjoying herself too.

Abby made me a special present for mother's day at her preschool. Thank you Abby:)

I am a very lucky mom:) I have such a wonderful family that loves me and I love them so. This mothers day was a little hard on me as I reflected on some difficult times as a mom that I have had this year. I know that I am growing into a much stronger mother and I am grateful for that. I am also grateful to have such a loving mother to love and support our family.
