Clearly, there is nothing down about this little girl (or her buddies that we frequently play with)!
So why do they call it Down Syndrome?
It’s because of this guy……
John Langdon Haydon Down (November 18, 1828 – October 7, 1896) was a British doctor best known for his description of a relatively common genetic disorder that is now called Down syndrome.
There you have it! It’s because of this guy, and the not very fitting last name he had. I hope you learned something new today:)
In other news…….
The Buddy Walk is coming up SOON! It’s next Saturday. Look at us last year:) Still time to sign up or donate.

Thanks Mr. John ;)
I say we start a petition to change the name! ;)
I guess we should all be thankful it is not Langdon Haydon Syndrome.
